Are there any volcanoes? How many? Where are they? Yes there volcanoes there are 32 active volcanoes and there are 20 inactive volcanoes. Volcanoes are located under the ice. 3. How many species of animals are there? Which are on land or from the sea? There are many species of seals such as leopard seals, southern elephant seal, Weddle seal, fur seal and ross seal. There are many species such as the chinstrap penguins, Adelie penguins, African penguins, macaroni penguins, royal penguins and king penguins. There are also salmon sharks in Antarctica. There are also many species of whales such as blue whales, sperm whales, humpback whales, fin whales and sei whales.there are also huskys in Antarctica.
